General Wong Shui Hung, the fovemor of Ewangs Á

has discussed the prospects of starting aviation and air

services with the writer, and at the moment the whole

question is mixed up with the Canton Bureau.

It would appear that the Canton Aviation Bureau

do not wish the Kwanzai Government to establish air ser-

vioes of their own, but the position is not at all ols ar.

MUSIC:

Plans have been draw up by the Janton Aviation

Bureau for establishing an aerodrome at „uohow, the size

was to be 700 by 400 yards, and it was to be 100 ft abovE

the river legel so as to avoid floods.

The plans included a Hangar, and the estimated

cost was $160,000.00 Ewangai money. It is unde “stood

that General ong has refused to agree to so large a

scheme, but in spite of this refusal I have been informed.

that the work is proceeding.

AMOY.

An Aviator named Colonel Lee recently arrived

in Amoy with a hillipino Pilot and two machines of

unknown make. The Col: Lee was at one time under General

Cheung Wai Jung at Canton, but he broke away and went to

Manila where he held meetings and made a lot of money,

much of which he has apparently put into this fl/ing

business at Amoy.

The present arrangement is to teach pupils, but

I gather that the aerodrome is not nearly ready and that

there are grave financial difficulties.
